Exciting news for the future of the Green Line in the SE! Phase 1 procurement for the Green Line LRT project is underway as the Green Line Board released the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the largest infrastructure project in our City’s history on March 31. The Phase 1 procurement strategy allows the Green Line Board to select a Development Partner in early 2023 who will work collaboratively with the Green Line team on design progression providing flexibility to innovate, optimize, and manage cost, risk, and schedule concerns prior to signing the Project Agreement. Spring is here and as you do your cleaning, we wanted to make sure you know there are community cleanups happening across the ward again this year. Shepard Community Hall on June 5, Cranston on June 25, Mahogany on June 26, Auburn Bay on July 16, and finally, McKenzie Towne on August 20. This is an excellent way to get rid of garbage and dispose of other household items. Anyone can attend any location, but different events will facilitate different refuse. Street cleaning will begin this month. The City will post signage along major routes in your area, announcing when you will need to make sure your vehicles are off the roads. Vehicles that are left on roadways during cleaning are subject to receiving tickets and can be towed, so be sure to find a parking spot that won’t interfere with the street cleaning trucks!
