Hello, Crossroads! I’m happy we’re on the other side of the recent cold snap! We’re excited to announce a few events upcoming in the next few months.
Most recently, the Crossroads Community is happy to announce that we will be working with the University of Calgary School of Architecture and Planning (SAPL) to create a plan for the community going forward in hopes of attracting investment from developers, businesses and the City of Calgary. The focus will primarily be on infrastructure, connections and increasing density.
We have an ongoing need of volunteers for Bingo. Please contact Nancy Harris at [email protected] for further information. We have all pertinent information on our Crossroads website as well!
On April 30th and May 1st, we’re excited to announce we are hosting a Casino located at Pure Casino Calgary (1420 Meridian Road NE). The funds we generate from Casinos is our greatest form of income. It helps to keep our beautiful community running. We are in need of 20 volunteers. Please contact Nancy Harris at [email protected] or Erica Lewis-Baird at [email protected]
Volunteer incentives include a meal, $75.00 credit for regular hours and $100.00 credit for night shift hours. To clarify, credits from the casino go towards fees for non-profit organizations like: Girl Guides, Scouts, Crossroads Preschool fees, hockey, basketball, soccer and more. If you’re interested in helping out, you may also look on our website for volunteer information!
In May we have a community cleanup. We’ve not been given a definite date as yet, but we will post more information once it becomes available. Stay tuned! We will have a few different stations for many purging opportunities. We need volunteers to head the cleanup as well. If you’d like to donate your time, please email [email protected]
