Thank you, Elise!

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Elise Konoff, who recently stepped down as Entertainment Director after five years in the position. If you’ve enjoyed any of the many NHCA events, including pancake breakfasts, skating parties, Bike Haven, Brew Haven, and community dances, to name a few, Elise has been instrumental in making them happen. Her enthusiasm for bringing the community together has made a huge impact in our neighbourhood. I’m particularly grateful that she has agreed to stay on the Entertainment committee and continue to be involved in events happening in North Haven!

On that note, I would also like to say hello, as the new Entertainment Director. I’ve lived in North Haven for over ten years, and worked with Elise as part of the Entertainment Committee for the last two and a half years. Myself and my family have become more involved in the community through the events we have come out to and been a part of. I am honoured to have the opportunity to continue this work with the NHCA.

Summer Events

Although we do generally take a break from formal events over the summer, the NHCA is hoping to roll out a few more ad-hoc events around the neighbourhood so, as always, stay tuned on social media and keep an eye on the hall sign to keep updated on what’s going on.

3rd Annual Bike Haven

Yes, we are planning to hold the third annual Bike Haven, on Saturday, September 12, starting at 11:00 am. This popular event will look a bit different this year, as we are working to ensure we can follow AHS guidelines for gatherings, but we hope the event will be as fun as ever.

Our fantastic sponsor Ridley’s has once again agreed to join us, and has offered to supply some great prizes, and demo bikes to try out.

Keep an eye on the website for further details, including registration information and waivers.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we look forward to seeing you in the fall!
