Annual General Meeting (AGM) – October 21

Our next AGM will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the lake. Financial Statements will be available at the lake office a couple of days prior to the meeting. Agenda items to be discussed include: presentation of the auditor’s report, election of Board of Directors, and business items such as updates from our Virtual Town Hall Meeting that was held in January. Mark your calendar and be part of shaping the future of our lake!

Lake Aeration System

The installation of a micro-bubbler aeration system in the lake is now complete and operating. The system consists of 20 bubbler heads, called diffusers, which sit on the bottom of the lake and are connected to an onshore air supply. The goal is to increase the oxygen levels in the water. The benefits of aeration are anticipated to be a reduction in the weeds and algae in the lake and a healthier fish population. The system runs seasonally and on timers so we can monitor and adjust the system as needed. To see the video with more details on the installation visit the news page on our website www.lakesundance.org.

Waterfront Renovation

We are nearly halfway through a renovation project on the waterfront for our boating docks. In the new design a bench-height retaining wall runs the full length of the wharf. Three large pergolas will be set back on the main concrete pad to overlook six brand new 28’ docks for the boats. What happens next in the project is the rock facing on the retaining wall is put on, landscaping, lighting, and the new docks will be installed. The anticipated completion date for the project is in late September. To see the videos with more details and the progress of the project visit the news page on our website www.lakesundance.org.
