Mabel at Dinner Time

Mabel wants to sit up at the table.

She says, “If we are a family,

Then mom and dad and me makes three.”

“To wait on the floor

Is such a bore

I can’t see what’s on the plate, but from the aroma,

I can tell it’s really great.

I feel like a human

And not a dog!

So lift me up,

I promise not to be a hog.
