Belmont: Discover Connectivity at Its Best
Belmont is one of Calgary’s newest communities and a hub of connectivity in the southwest. Positioned as the most connected community in Southwest Calgary, Belmont is surrounded by three arterial roads, ensuring seamless access both within and outside the neighborhood. Residents enjoy a peaceful setting, strategically set back from arterial roadways for reduced noise and enhanced safety.
Bounded by 194th Avenue, Sheriff King Street, and 210th Avenue, Belmont offers direct access to Macleod Trail and Stoney Trail, facilitating easy trips for groceries, family road trips, or a swift return home after a long day.
Exciting developments await Belmont in the future, including plans for a City of Calgary Recreation Centre along 210th Ave SW, adjacent to a future library and high school site. Another school is planned on Belmont Street, with a transit centre incorporating a future LRT stop on the east side of the community, further enhancing connectivity.
While there are plans for schools in the immediate area, families can find comfort in sending their children to nearby schools such as Ron Southern School, Harold Panabaker School, Dr E.P. Scarlett High School, Holy Child Elementary and Junior High, and All Saints Senior High.
According to the 2021 Census by the City of Calgary, Belmont’s population in private households is quaint at 800, with 76% falling in the 15 to 64 years age group.
