Southwood Community Newsletter
Our top-priority is keeping Southwood residents informed. All the community’s must-know news is easily accessible through the Southwood community newsletter, which is published monthly so that residents are kept current on relevant community and Calgary news. Southwood Connects is delivered monthly to every household, apartment, and business, and is a great way to get hyper local advertising exposure.
The Southwood Community Association (SCA) provides you a forum to air any local issues that become topical, from traffic to economic development and beyond. The SCA is the united front you need to give your opinions clout when presented to the City of Calgary through your Alderman’s office. All Southwood residents are invited to the monthly meetings of the Board of Directors (held the second Thursday of each month at the Hall, except July and August). As a member, you are welcome to contact the President or Vice President at any time to have your issue added to the agenda of the next meeting. We encourage all community members to join any of our monthly meetings. Memberships are sold on a yearly basis from date of purchase and cost $30 per family and $15 for seniors. The revenue that flows from memberships is what enables the SCA to offer more diverse programming and to keep our facilities in tip-top condition.
