Hidden Valley’s Two Hour Buns Recipe for October

“A fantastic family recipe from my grandma used for many special occasions” – Bethany H. of Hidden Valley

Ingredients:

• 3 cups warm water

• 8 tbsp. vegetable oil

• 1 tsp. salt

• 2 tbsp. Fermipan quick rise yeast

• 2 tbsp. sugar (6 for cinnamon buns)

• 2 eggs

• 7 to 8 cups of flour

Directions:

• Mix yeast and 4 cups of flour.

• In a separate bowl, whip eggs, sugar, oil, and water.

• Add flour and yeast mixture, blend well.

• Add remaining flour, start with 3 cups.

• Let rise for 15 minutes. Punch down. Rise for another 15 minutes.

• Form into balls by rolling out dough and using a 2” cookie cutter and folding into ball shape.

• Let rise in pans (sprayed with pam) for another hour.

• Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes (or up to 25 depending on your location) until golden brown. Brush each with melted salted butter before baking for best taste.

Note: Yields three dozen buns.
