Happy fall, we hope that you can join us at our Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 4 from 6:00 pm to midnight; this is an adult ticked event. Dancing, darts, buffet will be served, and cash bar (beer, wine, pop). We are trying to see if adult-only events should return to the community centre. It was common practice to have adult-only events in the past, let’s try to bring them back.
Don’t forget to come to our next family Halloween dance on Saturday, October 25, this is a free event for families with your membership and $10 per non-membership families. We will have a cash-only concession with pizza, pop, and other goodies to purchase. Please come to the dance and wear your Halloween costumes, we promise you a good time with your community friends.
October 20 is Municipal Election Day, we have quite a few councillors that are running in ward 14, please do your research and make sure that you are confident with who you would like to see as our new councillor. We would like to thank Peter Demong for the past 15 years of serving ward 14.
Memberships are currently on sale at the community centre.
Senior’s Friendship Club still meets on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 am in the Jensen room, admission is $2.

Upcoming Events
Christmas Craft Market – Saturday, November 15 at the community centre. We are always looking for crafters and bakers, please contact Linda Brown at the community centre to reserve your table.
Children’s Christmas Party – Saturday, November 29, in partnership with the Deer Ridge community. Come and enjoy an afternoon of crafts, bouncy castles, and Santa. Free to all families.
Our biggest fundraiser is almost here, we will be looking for volunteers to help us with our Casino, we will be scheduled during January to March, official date will be announced shortly.
