Facility Status

The facility remains open at this time but with limitations and restrictions that may change throughout the fall and winter. We will continue to follow the guidelines of Alberta Health Services and the Alberta government, and at this point it appears tighter restrictions may be implemented in the near future. As we transition to our winter operations there are many safety issues to consider. One of significant importance is the skate change room. As many of you are no doubt aware, the skate change room has provided a space for members to tie up their skates or warm up on a chilly day, but this room can be extremely busy on certain days, especially around the holidays. Normally everyone crowds in, but due to safety concerns with COVID-19, a lower building capacity will be determined, and members will not be permitted to use the room unless putting on or taking off their skates. We ask that members get in and out as fast as possible or consider using the outdoor areas available as an overflow. One area will be beside the pleasure rink and the other area on the beach beside the lake. We will do our best to provide safe areas for our members to lace up their skates and hopefully our members can enjoy a game of hockey or a cruise around the rink.
