Our annual Community Cleanup this year was held on May 25.
We filled three large bins, one metal bin, an overflowing electronics truck, and lots of tires, batteries, paint, and clothing. As usual the shredding truck was very busy. The Swap Table allowed for recycling of usable goods to those in our neighbourhood. Through the Alberta Electronics Recycling Roundup, WCA received over $1,900 for gathering unused electronic items.
Special thanks to Joe Cavar, Syl Zacher, and the WCA staff for organizing this annual event. We had a great group of volunteers to man the stations and a dedicated bunch to return to finalize the last bin.
