So far this year, the Ranchlands Food Pantry has filled roughly 90 hampers for 40 households in the community. This program is made possible due to amazing neighbours helping neighbours. The Ranchlands Food Pantry could not exist without the generosity of donations and the time that Ranchlanders give to the program.

Hamper Pickup Host
We are looking for a friendly and experienced individual to join us as a Hamper Pickup Host. Ideal candidates should have prior experience working or volunteering with confidential information. In this role, you will warmly greet individuals picking up their hampers, guide first-time visitors through the process, and put away any extra food items at the end of your shift. This position is a monthly commitment, occurring on the third Monday of every month from 4:15 to 5:30 pm. The location is the community association kitchen (7713 Ranchview Drive).
Hamper Drop-off Driver
We are seeking a reliable individual for this weekly volunteer role, which involves picking up completed hampers from the Ranchlands Food Pantry (7713 Ranchview Drive) on Monday evenings (or Tuesday evenings if Monday is a statutory holiday) and dropping them off at the doorsteps of Ranchlanders who have requested a hamper. Drop-offs are contactless. You must be available on Monday evenings (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) from 5:30 to 6:00 pm. We average one to two drop-offs per week, all within the Ranchlands Community.
Items in Low Supply
If you’re looking to donate items to the food pantry, consider donating items in current demand, such as cereal, canned vegetables, fruits, meats, and soups. Drop-off donations are accepted at the Ranchlands Community Association RFP box, conveniently located in the foyer at 7713 Ranchview Drive NW. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with extended hours until 5:30 pm on Mondays. Your support is deeply appreciated!
