Happy February, we are looking forward to our next family dance, Friday, February 14. This evert will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Free to community association members and $10 per family for non-members. We will have a cash only concession with pizza slices, juice boxes, water, and chips for sale. Everyone will be able to win door prizes throughout the evening. Please come out to support your community.
We have a new business in our community, The Queensland Barber shop; this business is located in the More Store strip mall. It joined our community in mid-December, we are happy to have them in our community. Welcome to Queensland, we hope that we are keeping you busy.
Did you know that your board of directors at the Queensland Diamond Cove community association is hard at work looking to improve your community? If you have ever wanted to share your thoughts or wanted to lend a hand but were not sure how to do it, please stop by the centre and speak with Linda Brown and she will relay your message to us. We are always looking to have new people join us to discuss new ways to improve our collective community experience.
An update to our message in January, we are still trying to see what type of community garden we would all like to have. Is it one with native flowers and shrubs with benches and places for contemplation? Or is it one where we can grow a garden plot. If we cannot find a location where there is water available, then we may need to look into a location where we look at drought resistant plants and shrubs and locations for contemplation. We will keep you updated as this becomes more a reality.
