Hello Crescent Heights
It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into the last month of winter. To kick off March, the Crescent Heights Community Association is excited to host our Winter Celebration and the grand opening of our new rink! The festivities will take place on March 1 outside the community centre, with activities, entertainment, and food trucks. We’re also looking forward to welcoming some special guests. We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a great event!
Thank you again to Humaira P. whose dedication and hard work made this amazing new rink possible. From the spark of an idea to securing funding and bringing the vision to life, Humaira has been the heart and soul of this project. We’re beyond grateful for her commitment—what a fantastic achievement!
Of course, we can’t forget to shout out our incredible Rink Rats! Thanks to their hard work, the rink was ready for skaters the moment the boards went up. Each year, the rink gets better and better, and this season is no exception!
Looking for more ways to connect with our vibrant community? On March 22 at 1:00 pm, the Mini Galleries will be hosting an Artist Talk and Tour at Rotary Park, as part of the inspiring exhibit “Beyond Making: Stories Crafted in Art.” This beautiful collection will be on display until April 30. With the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to take a stroll through the park and experience the creativity that’s blooming right here in Crescent Heights.
We’re also excited to welcome David McEwen as the newest member of our CHCA board! David joined us last month and will be stepping into the role of Treasurer. We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to all the great things ahead.
