Spring is just around the corner. Bringing more opportunities to help each other while building community with our neighbours, friends, and families.
Thank you so much to everyone who generously donated to Basically Babies initiative to kick off 2025. The organization was overwhelmed with gratitude for the beautiful donations they used to make first-year layettes for young families. Community members from Parkland and Bonavista got to enjoy a tour of the facility and learn more about the good work they do!
With spring comes our very favourite initiative that has been happening annually since 2016! Birthday Bags is our largest community building event of the year, neighbours young and old come together to make birthday parties in a bag for the youngest clients at the Calgary Food Bank. We are planning this event for late April/early May. We hope that you will join us in the fun, making friendships while making a significant positive impact in our community.
We are also looking ahead to our Garage Sale that will happen in June, please start setting aside saleable items as this is our biggest and only annual fundraiser. This helps us supplement donations to ensure all community members can participate in activities hosted by Bonavista Cares.
We are excited to continue to come together, make friends, build relationships with our neighbours while making a difference in the lives of our neighbours and Calgarians.
