Happy Father’s Day to all dads, hope that you have a wonderful day.
Have you had the chance to check out some of our new businesses? There is Cost Low thrift shop opening up soon in the strip mall by the More store. I also see that there is another childcare business getting set up in another bay in the very same strip mall. Please support these and other small businesses within our community.
Community garden update: we have decided not to pursue this initiative; there have been very few enquiries. Please visit Deer Ridge to see if they have any lots available.
Please do not forget about our community cleanup happening on Saturday, July 5. City of Calgary garbage trucks will be available to take your unwanted items. We will also have metal and electronic recycle programs. If you are available to volunteer for this, please contact Linda Brown. Morning coffee and donuts are provided along with lunch. This event is shared between Queensland and Deer Ridge.
