Spring brought sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of fun to our community with the recent HVCA Spring Egg Hunt!
We were thrilled to see such a fantastic turnout – families and children filled the park with smiles, excitement, and spring spirit. The event was a tremendous success, thanks in large part to our incredible volunteers and generous sponsors:
• Hidden Valley Lawncare for the generous donations of candy and treats.
• TF Makeup Artistry for the complimentary face painting.
• Honourable MLA Muhammed Yaseen and staff for gift cards.
• Councillor Jasmine Mian and staff for candy and treats.
• Robyn Moser & Associates for the generous addition of the photo booth.
• Harvest Hills Tim Hortons for the discount they provided for coffee and hot chocolate.
Your time, thoughtfulness, and support made the day more special for everyone who attended, sincere gratitude for your kindness.
A highlight of the day was the 200 goody bags we prepared for the children – every single one was happily claimed. Butterfield Acres added special charm to the event by bringing their adorable furry friends for the children to meet and pet. Their presence truly brought joy to our event, and we are so grateful for their participation.
Another big hit was our talented face painter Tracy from TF Makeup Artistry, who transformed eager little faces into butterflies, superheroes, and everything in between. The line never seemed to end, a testament to both her incredible talent and the excitement she brought to the day. Good news, Tracy will be attending our next event and will be bringing another talented artist with her to ensure nobody misses out. Tracy is a cherished member of our community, and we are most fortunate and thankful for the smiles she brought to the children.
Overall, it was a wonderful celebration of spring and community. We shared countless smiles, and it was heartwarming to see families come together to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors.
Mark your calendars – more fun is on the way!
June 21 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, HVCA is excited to host our first annual Neighbour Day Celebration.
This family-friendly event promises even more smiles and memory making moments.
We’ve got a fantastic lineup of entertainment planned, starting with the amazing Tomlin Trick Dogs, who will wow the crowd with their high-energy performance.
Please note that while we welcome family pets, they will not be permitted inside the rink during the dog show.
Following the tricks and tail-wagging fun, prepare to be amazed by the magic of Russell Malcolm, a talented magician whose show will delight both kids and adults alike.
Our face painter Tracy will be busy transforming little faces into works of art throughout the event.
Looking ahead, we’re also busy planning our second annual Sounds and Spirits event, happening on Saturday, August 30. We asked for feedback last year and will be adding additional entertainment, more food trucks and plenty of “spirit” options.
This is an adult-only event, members are free to attend, non-members pay $30 at the door, a fantastic reason to buy your annual community membership early, so that you can join us for a wonderful evening.
