June was a whirlwind of activity in Ranchlands — five weekends, five events, and countless volunteers, supporters, and community champions who made it all happen. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of such a vibrant month!
June 1 — First Annual Ranchlands Car Show
What a way to start the month! Our first-ever Car Show was a resounding success. A huge thank you to CerTech Automotive and Stavros Pizza & Sports Bar for organizing and leading this exciting event. With over $1,500 raised, proceeds will be split between the Ranchlands Food Pantry and the Calgary Humane Society, helping fill hampers and support local animals in need.
June 6 and 7 — Casino Fundraiser at Ace Airport Casino
To all our amazing volunteers who stepped up to cover shifts — thank you! This fundraiser is our primary source of funding for operational costs like repairs to the RCA building, and your support makes a lasting difference.
June 14 — Parade of Garage Sales
A massive thank you to Maria Cristifaro, a Ranchlands resident and realtor, and her team at Royal LePage for organizing registrations, creating the map, and arranging a donation bin for WINS (Women in Need Society). This event is a staple of summer, and we couldn’t do it without her.
June 21 — Neighbour Day
Ranchlanders came together for a joyful day of popcorn, cotton candy, yard games, a petting zoo from Butterfield Acres, and incredible live music by Rob MacLeod (The Ranchlands Piper) and Wise Guys, a five-piece band featuring one of our own! A special thank you to Crowfoot Co-op, Safeway Crowfoot, and Superstore Hamptons for donating snacks and sponsoring the event.
June 29 — First-Ever Swap Shop
To cap off the month, we hosted our first Swap Shop. Thank you to the generous volunteers who made this event a success — and who’ll be back at it again in July and August!
