Happy Stampede Neighbours!

My last note sent out a thank you to those who bought a rain barrel through our fundraiser, we decided to pull that fundraiser as we were a very long way from our minimum order and will look into doing it next year. Neighbour Day and Cleanup day would not have been the success they were without our volunteers and residents who attended and helped. Thank you to Trico Living Well for their food donations to make the BBQ a free event; they will be hosting a Stampede Breakfast during the Stampede, open to residents.

Annual memberships for the Kingsland Community Association will have just gone through in June, if you haven’t already signed up for a membership you can do so online on our website at www.kingslandcommunity.ca/about-us/memberships.

We are looking for community members for our Social Committee to help plan and facilitate KCA social events for the year. Please reach out to [email protected] to join! Without this committee and our volunteers, it is challenging as a volunteer-based organization to have the people power to put on our events.

To stay up to date on all things Kingsland community, make sure to check out our website’s homepage to see what’s new in our neighbourhood and follow us on social media at @kingslandcommunityyyc! We also have an email newsletter that goes out every month or two – subscribe to the eNewsletter using the purple button at the very bottom of our website. We love input and ideas for events, activities, or community enrichment from our residents, connect with us!

If you are interested in board positions, please see our website for open roles and send an email to [email protected] to discuss joining the board.

All the best,

David Sanderson

KCA President
