Imagine if there was a way to improve your life, lessen the stress you carry, make your neighbourhood safer and more beautiful all while improving property values and saving you money. Now imagine all that could happen in just one day!
That’s what happens each year during our community cleanup. The parking lot at the Cedarbrae Community Centre transforms into a sorting ground for all the items cluttering up our yards, homes, garages, and back alleys. It’s one day each year to get rid of that thing, that pile, or that mess in the yard without having to make a trip to the dump. City trucks for garbage, yard waste, and recycling will be on hand, as well as spots for electronic recycling, metal, tires, and more.
That broken couch in the garage, the pile of excess yard waste in your back alley that giant tv that doesn’t work. This is your opportunity to clear it out, making your space and our neighbourhood a better place to be. It’s true, a cluttered space equals a cluttered mind. Give yourself some room and clarity by participating in the community cleanup.
Even better, if you can, please help out. Maybe you could take in some items for a neighbour who’s not able to or volunteer your time to help at the Centre on the day. We’re always grateful for help, please contact the centre at 403-251-2101 or [email protected].
We’d like to remind everyone that our local fire station is the drop off point for all potentially hazardous items. Such items include paint, automotive fluids, cleaning products, pressurized tanks, pesticides etc. The hazardous waste sheds are located directly behind our fire station at 2607 106 Ave SW. Just a quick trip to make your home safer.
