Summer has been full of community spirit here in Citadel! Despite the rain, our June Citadel Parade of Garage Sales weekend was a great success—thank you to everyone who participated and braved the weather to connect, shop, and share a laugh. Then in July, we had an amazing turnout for our Stampede Breakfast. It was a lively, fun-filled morning with delicious food, great company, and lots of smiles—thank you to our volunteers and everyone who came out to celebrate!
As we shift toward August, it’s time to start thinking about back-to-school safety. Soon, our streets will be busier with children walking, biking, and being dropped off for school. Whether you’re a parent, student, or commuter, we all play a role in keeping our neighbourhood safe.
Drivers—please slow down in school zones, eliminate distractions, and stay alert for kids crossing streets, especially during busy pick-up and drop-off times.
Parents—remind your children to use crosswalks, avoid distractions like phones or headphones while walking, and make eye contact with drivers before crossing the street.
Let’s work together to ensure all our young residents have a safe and happy return to school. Wishing everyone a great end to summer!
