Coffee or Tea
Coffee all the way (and I probably drink way too much of it.)
Hobbies
I am a huge reader – so far this year I have burned through 118 books. They definitely have to have action or mystery to them though. I also love to crochet (my amazing mother-in-law taught me!) but I prefer to do big projects like intricately designed blankets. I also love to bake and have been known to go a little overboard and pull out an airbrush to decorate a birthday cake for my son.
Favourite Holiday
Halloween, definitely. I absolutely love Halloween and love to dress up to take my kiddo trick-or-treating. We’ve even done family costumes in the past, which are so much fun for me.
Moved to Ranchlands
In 2013 and I love it even more today than we did back then! The mature trees and green spaces were and still are one of the best features of the community for me.
Describe a Day in Your Job Briefly
It’s little bit of everything! A typical day, I might meet a contractor for a quote, receive a donation for the Ranchlands Food Pantry, order some cleaning supplies, draft a layout map for an event, and then go do some landscaping outside. Every day is different, which definitely keeps things fun for me.
Coolest Thing You Have Done in Your Job
That’s a tough one. I would have to say either getting to go check out the crawl space under the building, driving an excavator, or learning how to operate a cotton candy machine. Probably the cotton candy machine though, since I have a huge sweet tooth.
Best Part of Working at the RCA
Meeting so many fantastic people. From contractors to local business owners, community residents, political representatives, school staff, volunteer and more, I get to meet and work on projects with so many different faces that it shows just how integral the RCA is to our community.
