What a ride this summer was! I hope everyone was able to enjoy the sun and of course the rain. The unpredictable weather certainly made a person needing to be prepared for anything at the drop of a hat. On the flip side, the community garden thrived, and it will be a bumper crop this year. The Sleddington Music Festival went on as planned and despite a couple of storms that blasted through the event, it was a big hit with a good attendance and great musicianship from all the new and returning bands. I hope you have had an opportunity to view all the acts in the posters that were posted in the August Banner as well as this September Banner.
The Parade of Garage Sales on August 9 was a once again a big hit with many residents able to clear out their homes of clutter and items that someone else would find delightful. It’s always a win-win when you can recycle, reuse, or repurpose.
September brings us back into our regular routine with the BHCA Board meetings resuming on the fourth Tuesday of the month (September 23 this month). We are always looking for new members to bring fresh ideas to our community. We are currently looking for a Treasurer to help our community run smoothly. Feel free to come to a meeting to see whether it is something you may be interested in. No experience is necessary – we’re happy to support you as you learn!
