The TPCA is looking for volunteers to join with the Tuxedo Park Ice Crew and help build and maintain our winter rink. We’re looking for help with any of the following tasks, and your commitment is based on what you’re comfortable with.
• Help with set up (late October/early November) and take down of the boards and benches (late March)
• Help build the ice (Tamping snow and flooding)
• Maintain the ice (We try to perform two scrapes and floods each week during the winter)
• Clear the snow after snowfall
We will show you all there is to know to help out. It’s a great way to meet your neighbours and help build community (and create the next great tiny skaters).
Also, if you’re interested in helping animate the rink, or want to help us improve the equipment and set up, let us know.
