Let’s take a moment to appreciate our health, homes, and give thanks and love to those who provide us with unconditional support throughout our everyday lives.
• A new bursary program, launched in partnership with NorQuest College and supported by over $3.3 million from the Canada-Alberta Early Learning Agreement, will help up to 300 current and aspiring early childhood educators earn their certificate at approved Alberta institutions.
• Alberta is investing $4 million in 29 agencies to support 31 projects that tackle the root causes of family violence. These initiatives promote prevention and healthy relationships through education, sports, mentorship, support groups, and service connections.
• To support Alberta’s exploration of nuclear energy as a solution for increasing electricity needs, Minister Neudorf will visit the United Kingdom to participate in the World Nuclear Symposium in London. During the event, he will engage with representatives from regions with established nuclear sectors and showcase Alberta’s energy industry to key stakeholders and potential partners.
• Alberta invested over $9 million to renovate a government-owned facility for the Calgary Recovery Community, part of a broader initiative to build 11 recovery communities across the province with nearly $350 million in capital funding.
