• October is the only month that always ends on the same day of the week as February.
• The birthstones for October are opal and tourmaline, both known for their dazzling colours—perfect for a month full of fall leaves.
• Foodie fun fact: October is National Pizza Month and Pumpkin Month. Whether you prefer carving pumpkins or eating them, this month has you covered!
• October’s full moon is called the Hunter’s Moon. This year, it will light up the sky on October 17.
What’s Happening in Chaparral
October is a quieter month for community events, but we’re already looking forward to Skate with Santa and our Festival of Lights this winter.
We’re also looking for an Events Coordinator and a Community Business Relations Coordinator. If you love planning fun activities and want to bring fresh energy to Chaparral, we’d love your help! Please email us if you’re interested in volunteering.

Did you know that CCA members can borrow recreational equipment for free? Options include:

• Walking poles
• A portable disc golf set
It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors this fall.
