Season’s Greetings!
I’d like to begin by extending a heartfelt thank-you to Elio Cozzi, our departing SBHCA President, for his 12 years of dedicated service in this role and other positions on the board. Elio worked tirelessly on many important files, including planning and development, and is a wonderful example of someone who gives back to the community in which he lives.
We also have some changes at the board and committee level that I’m pleased to announce:

• Steve Andersen – Chair, Traffic Committee
Our SBHCA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on October 29, 2025. Thank you to everyone who attended. In this newsletter, you’ll find an excellent article by Michelle Varem. summarizing the highlights from the AGM.
We’re also looking to fill several volunteer roles in the new year:
• Director, Communications
• Director, Membership
• Director, Fundraising
• Director, Programming
• IT Volunteer

Lastly, but importantly, our two outdoor skating rinks will be up and running soon. Let’s hope the weather cooperates this year for a great skating season! A big thank-you to Dan Hnatyshyn, Andrew Unruh, and the many volunteers who make our outdoor rinks a reality each year.
