Recess is over! Our first board meeting is this month. You saw the work of the Engagement Committee with an emphasis in growing our social programming within our community. We will have other events throughout the fall. Keep up to date with community events via our webpage.
Have I ever mentioned that much of what we accomplish is done because of the partnerships we form with neighbours, both within and outside in neighbouring organizations? Some provide financial support, and many send us volunteers or goods in kind. I am so thankful for having these resources at hand. If you or your organization fits this description, please accept this expression of my sincere thanks!
Back in August, I asked members of the Board of Directors to tell us if they wished to extend their directorship for another year. A number have told us that they intend to step down prior to the AGM.
