Hello, here we are, 2026!
Where did our year go? Hopefully the year past has brought goodness your way, but in case it has proved difficult or sad, please know that my thoughts are with you. Perhaps the saying on this quilt should be our new motto, so to speak. Rutland Park has been home to me for over 50 some years and believe me it is not easy to see our main hall closed, to wish we could organize some of our popular events like Chili Cookoff, craft sales, St. Paddies event, Ukrainian festival, senior exercises, the list goes on and on. It makes me sad, and friends of our community look for answers, which seem to be few and far between.
Thank goodness we still have our skate building and a beautiful rink. Thank you also to Tyler, our new rink manager, and his crew for not giving up the ship, so to speak. I hear there may be a winter skating and party event on December 28. Let’s all show our support, it will be great to meet again, that is for sure.
In the meantime, take care and always smell the roses.
Happy New Year!
As always,
Isabell R.
