Wow 2026 already, seems like 2025 just flew by! Happy New Year to all.

Goals for the community association this year include:

1. Finishing the spruce up and fix up we’ve started for our hall and outdoor space and

2. Expanding our programming providing more activities to engage and connect our community members of all ages and life stages.

We’re hoping to hear we’ve been successful in our application to the City for lifecycle replacements of the ceiling and exit lights in the hall, making the lighting more sustainable and up to new code requirements.

Our hall is not huge for big events, and we rely on the rental fees from Seedlings Preschool and other rentals to support all other activities. We have evening and weekends to program.

What would you like to see happening in and around the hall?

Kids movie weekends? Seniors’ club? Coffee mornings? Stampede barbecue? Holiday party? Yoga? Tai Chi? First Aid/CPR course? Babysitter course? Bike Swap? Skate swap?

We would love to hear your ideas for courses, programs, events…

Please send your comments and ideas to Jen, our coordinator, at [email protected] or to me at the address below. We’d also like to hear your ideas about how we best communicate with you – as well as email to members, website (pbpcommunity.ca), Facebook, Instagram… how can we best reach you?

One more thing – we have been approved for a casino April 21 to 22 and will need volunteers! This is a great way to contribute to the community in a way that helps finance all the ideas and maintenance needs of our space.

All the best for 2026! And email me anytime with comments, questions, or concerns.
