Happy New Year! If you’re looking to get back into routine, increase your activity level, and meet your neighbours this year, you may want to consider one of the community association’s programs or activities:
FUNctional Fitness: This is for older adults and runs Monday and Thursday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 am. This popular and welcoming class focuses on fun and functional training for active, independent living. The seated and standing exercises can be tailored to suit a variety of fitness levels, targeting strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Try a class for free! For more details or to register, visit https://ngpca.ca/functional-fitness/, email [email protected], or call 403-246-4243.
Skating: Need some fresh air? Visit the community association’s outdoor rink located at the community centre, built and maintained by resident volunteers. Additionally, did you know that you can attend the family skate at Flames Community Arenas (FCA) on Sunday afternoons, free of charge with a current community membership?
Art & Wonder Art Classes for Kids: Teaching artist Krystelle Celestino Wurtz leads budding artists through a joyful four-week art series where kids explore identity, storytelling, and imagination through hands-on projects. Each session builds confidence, curiosity, and connection. Final class includes a mini art gallery and parent celebration! See www.ngpca.ca for more details and to register.
Lakeview Bridge Club: The Lakeview Bridge Club meets at the North Glenmore Park Community Association building every Wednesday afternoon starting at noon. Players of all levels are welcome to join. Free with a valid annual membership.
Open Gym: The community centre gym is open every Friday afternoon from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. Participants have access to the equipment room to play floor hockey, basketball, badminton, volleyball, etc. Free with membership ($2 drop-in for non-members). All ages welcome.
Summer Day Camps: Our popular summer day camps will run again in July and August 2026. Registration will start on February 12. Watch the community association website for details and registration information.
To purchase a community membership, visit www.ngpca.ca or complete the membership form found in this publication. Wishing you a fun, active, and healthy 2026!
