The Canyon Meadows Yard and Garden Club is building great momentum as we move closer to our community garden vision. Ted Bahr of Prairie Sage Permaculture is putting the finishing touches on our garden and water design. We’re excited to share it with the community very soon.
The Design
Plans are being refined with two potential locations for raised garden beds: the treed area beside the parking lot, offering shelter and partial shade, and the slope near the play park, which could become a visually striking, tiered garden. We’re also exploring sustainable, user-friendly watering systems to support the garden throughout the growing season. Landscaping upgrades around the community hall are being considered part of this project, alongside continued grant applications and fundraising efforts. Our goal is to break ground in spring 2026.
