Hello, Ward 14!

It is April 27 when I’m writing this to get in the June column of your local newsletter. Last night we had the first real rain of the season (with a touch of snow when the temperature dropped). Based on the forecast, most of Fish Creek could dry out this weekend with weather in the 20s. I hope in the future you have already enjoyed several great weekends by June—taking time in the sun and admiring the lilacs. I also hope you are enjoying weather in the 20s regularly.

June is one of the rainiest months, so in the online version of this column you will find some notes about how to prepare your house for heavy rain. June is a growing season too, so I will talk about where you can find farm stands around the City. I will also mention storm drains briefly (again), the TIPP program, rideshare, and the residential parking permit program.

Feel free to contact me any time, and don’t forget to visit calgary.ca/ward14newsletter for the full version of this column. The best way to contact me is by visiting calgary.ca/contactward14 or calling 403-268-1653.
