On Saturday, October 18, the De Winton Community Association hosted its annual Halloween Party, which was an outstanding success due to the amazing talents and efforts of our key volunteers, Victoria White and husband Paul, and Raelene Prokopishin with her husband Stan.
The main hall was decorated with all kinds of Halloween themed games and foods. The Witches Hat Toss, Pumpkin Toss, Eyeball Putt, Ghost Bowling, and Candy Toss were some of the creative and fun games to play and were always rewarded with candy or glow wands. The basement was turned into a scary Haunted House. It was a fabulous set up that provided lots of surprises and scary moments for those that dared to enter.
Many thanks to all the volunteers (it took 18 outstanding volunteers to make this all work) who turned up to help run the games and keep things moving along. We had close to 200 attendees, families arrived ready for all the action and dressed for the occasion. So many wonderful costumes, pretty princesses, fabulous fairies, nasty ninja warriors, a whole family dressed up as Ghostbusters (check the Western Wheel), lions, tigers, Waldos, and witches, just to name a few.
Amazing fun for all ages and another wonderful event to pull together our great community. Can’t wait to see you all next year!

Cody and Maggie suit up for hiding in the Haunted House! (with permission).

Our Facility Director Cindy and her wild and crazy husband Gerry were our reception team.

The boxes contained mystery surprises. You had to put your hand in and get a good feel to guess what it was; eyeballs? cold squishy inners? You had to guess to get your prize!
