Information of Note in the Community:
- Our yearly Harvest Festival is Saturday Sept 22, 11am. I look forward to it all year, as we do a soup potluck! No need to sign up – just bring a pot of your best soup.
- We are running this year’s AGM and Board Elections at the Harvest festival (Saturday the 22nd), starting at 11am. Last year it took thirteen minutes to cover everything we needed. This year should be quicker. Please consider joining the board. Fresh opinions are always appreciated.
- Free Boardgame Night has been very lively. The 2nd Friday of every month, 6:30pm to 11pm, in the basement. We provide light snacks and drinks. Bring your families, friends, and favourite games.
- Volunteers needed to work our Casino September 16th and 17th at Cowboys Casino.Volunteering for a casino is the definite highest impact-per-hour you can make to the community funds, and each casino will net us around $60,000 to use on community improvement projects. Plus, it’s a pretty fun way to meet and hang out with other involved community members. Email [email protected] if you can help.
- We are in need of a treasurer! It’s not as difficult a job as you may imagine, and it’s a great way to keep in touch with the goings on in the community.
- Look out for our Kitchen and Deck and Garden Shed Renovation coming this fall! Led by our own Wanda Rose, it should make our main hall an even more fabulous event venue.

Every one of these fantastic items happens thanks to the help of interested members of the community. If you have anything you’re interested in, don’t hesitate to get involved.
