What a whirlwind winter we have had. Who else is ready for spring? I know I am. It has been a turbulent winter both out here in the real world and on the board. We did not quite make our minimum board members at our AGM, but that was quickly rectified when Diane joined us! We have now added two more board members Nadine and Bonnie. This actually puts us at the maximum board members that we can add between AGM’s! Thanks for stepping up! That being said we have sub-committees and tons of events that need volunteers. We can accommodate all levels of commitment and enthusiasm. Like our new webmaster Carol and our new Banner editor Leandra! We are looking to bring back events, some old favourites like the parade of garage sales and the neighbour day festivities; but we are also open to new ideas! Volunteers bring their own passions and experiences, which helps us to better serve the community we all love. If you want to stay up to date with what is going on, make sure you are registered for our email blasts and like our Facebook page. You may be surprised what BHCA is up to! Naturally, we can’t wait to gather in person for neighbourhood events. In the meantime, Reimagine Beddington (planning for outdoor spaces,) the Community Garden (planning to build garden boxes this Spring,) the Book Club and our Board all meet on Zoom.
