The CCA hosted a Landscaping 101 workshop back in April. Shari Pitka told us all about the best trees for Citadel, the importance of crop rotation in garden boxes, and how corn gluten meal helps with weed suppression. It was an excellent workshop with some great discussion.
Our next Seniors’ event will be on July 22, followed by September 23 and December 2. Stay tuned for more details.
On June 1, at 6:30 pm, Jennifer Wyness, City of Calgary Ward 2 Councillor, will be hosting a Town Hall at the Citadel Community Association building, located at 870 Citadel Drive NW. We hope you can join us!
Garage sale season is here! Mark your calendars for June 24 and 25 for the Citadel Parade of Garage Sales. You may register for a regular sign at www.citadelca.ab.ca, or alternatively and new this year, you may register for a spot in the parking lot or for a table inside the hall of the CCA building. We are currently planning for our Stampede event on July 8 and are looking for volunteers to help us manage the event. We need BBQ cooks, food servers, game monitors, and set up and tear down volunteers. Last year, we welcomed 600 people to our event. If you are able to volunteer on July 8, please reach out to [email protected].
Lastly, I want to remind you that the Citadel Community Association Hall is available to rent. If you are looking for a venue for a birthday, anniversary, or Christmas party, complete the rental request form on the website at https://www.citadelca.ab.ca/CCA/index.php/rentals/rental-inquiry.
