Hello Crescent Heights!

The days may be getting shorter, but things are still buzzing in our neighbourhood! As we roll into November, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who continues to support and engage with our community—your involvement really makes a difference.

This summer, we added a fantastic new mural as part of our Centre Street and 16 Avenue project. It’s part of a partnership with the BIA to bring new life to an underused area—and there’s more to come! In the months ahead, we’ll be welcoming sea cans from the ContainR pop-up art park, which is being relocated to Crescent Heights. The transformation will start to take shape in spring 2026, and we can’t wait to see it all come together.

You might’ve also noticed something new around the neighbourhood: we’ve joined the TerraCycle program and installed over 20 cigarette recycling containers in parks and public spaces. It’s a small step, but a meaningful one, toward keeping our community clean and green.

At our recent AGM, we were happy to welcome back our full board for another year. A big thank you to each of them for their ongoing commitment to Crescent Heights. Their dedication keeps our community strong, connected, and thriving.

If you’ve been looking for a way to get more involved, now’s the perfect time! Whether you’re into heritage, city planning, transportation and mobility, or want to help coordinate our iconic Stampede Breakfast, there’s something for everyone. I’d love to hear from you—just send me a note at [email protected].

And finally, a quick reminder: our fundraising casino is coming up on December 13 and 14 at Elbow River Casino. One volunteer shift can raise around $2,000, and in total, we have the chance to bring in up to $80,000 for community programs, events, and improvements. It’s a fun and easy way to give back—plus, you’ll meet some great people along the way.

Thanks for all the ways you show up for Crescent Heights. Let’s finish the year strong—together!

Marie
