Hello Crescent Heights!
As we move into the fall season, we are looking forward to some exciting changes within our community. You may have already noticed that preparations have begun for our new rink project. With construction scheduled to start this month we hope to have the rink ready to go for this winter season. Fingers crossed! A big thank you to board member Humaira P. for all her work in bringing this project together – Humaira has raised all of the funding, and she has put in countless hours working with the City and dealing with contractors. Without Humaira’s initiative, this project wouldn’t have happened.
You may have also noticed that temporary speed bumps were installed last month on the west side of the community around the high school. This pilot project is an outcome from two years of conversations between our Transportation Planning and Mobility Committee (TPM) and the City as part of an initiative to obtain traffic calming measures for our community. We look forward to hearing feedback from our residents about the effectiveness of the speed bumps. Our TPM committee will continue to advocate for more traffic calming measures throughout Crescent Heights.
