Hello Crescent Heights,

Hope you are enjoying our wonderful winter months. There is nothing like a cold, crisp, sunny day to enjoy a pleasant walk around our community. Maybe take in the mini galleries in Rotary Park or play hockey or skate on our community rinks.

Pre-COVID, your Board operated on funds generated from Hall rentals and casinos. COVID has curtailed those sources, making volunteers more important than ever. We want a Board that is diverse and inclusive and hope everyone in our community feels comfortable volunteering. Do not hesitate to volunteer your time for one of our committees. For example, the membership committee is in the process of defining its committee needs.

Whom do you know who would be a good Board member? We need an Engagement Director. In the past, this person has been the coordinator for most of our art projects in the community. Various grants have supported Engagement activities.

While our Treasurer has offered to stay as interim-Treasurer until a replacement emerges, we wish to be proactive and ensure a smooth transition. Our excellent bookkeeper supports The Treasurer by ensuring that the records are up to date.

Our community appreciates it when you get involved. Hope to see you around.

Dennis Marr, CHCA Board of Directors
