Hidden Valley’s Events Director Update for December

HiddenValley cn

As the Events Director of the Hidden Valley Community Association, I am thrilled to share the resounding success of our recent “Walk of the Pumpkins” event! This year, we had an incredible turnout, with 77 beautifully carved pumpkins submitted by our talented community members. Each entry brought its own unique flair, showcasing the creativity and spirit of Hidden Valley.

A special thank you goes out to our local Scouts, who played an essential role in organizing and thoughtfully laying out the pumpkin displays. Their hard work and dedication ensured that every pumpkin was perfectly positioned for all to admire. The Scouts not only helped enhance the event’s visual appeal but also demonstrated the true essence of community spirit.

On the day of the event, we welcomed approximately 100 community members who came together to celebrate the season. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement as families strolled along the pumpkin path, admiring the incredible displays. To warm up the evening, we served hot chocolate, Timbits, and marshmallows, which were a hit with both kids and adults alike. It was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the treats and sharing in the joy of the season.

The “Walk of the Pumpkins” was more than just an event; it was a wonderful opportunity for neighbours to connect and create lasting memories. Whether it was admiring a particularly spooky pumpkin or sharing stories over a cup of hot chocolate, the event brought our community closer together.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our upcoming events for the first quarter of 2025. Mark your calendars for the “Winter Family Fun Fest” scheduled for January and February. This event promises to be filled with fun activities for families of all ages, ensuring that winter in Hidden Valley is as vibrant and engaging as ever. We are also planning several new events that we can’t wait to share with you!

Stay tuned for updates and additional details on these events by checking our community calendar on the HVCA website. We encourage all community members to get involved, whether by volunteering, submitting ideas for events, or simply joining us for the festivities. Your participation is what makes Hidden Valley a wonderful place to live and thrive.

Thank you once again for making the “Walk of the Pumpkins” such a memorable occasion. Your enthusiasm and support are what drive us to create engaging events for our community. We look forward to seeing you at the Winter Family Fun Fest and all our upcoming activities. Together, let’s keep the spirit of Hidden Valley alive!
