President’s Message
Hello Kincora,
I hope you were able to join us for the KCA annual Winter Festival in February or at least got to enjoy the warm weather. Sadly, the warm temperatures made our skating rink unusable. It’s disappointing to see it sit empty after all the volunteer hours spent building it. So, when the rink is in good shape, please make the most of it.
Please remember that the KCA AGM is on April 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. We’ll start with some social time and begin the meeting at 7:30 pm. This is a great chance to meet us, ask questions, and share what matters to you.
We’re also looking for someone to spend about an hour reviewing KCA’s 2025 financials for the AGM. No experience is needed—you’ll work with a partner to make sure we have records for each transaction. If you’re interested, please email us at [email protected]. We’re always looking for new board members too. If you want to make a bigger impact in Kincora, joining the board is a great way to help shape our community.
Speaking of shaping our community, the KCA board has chosen a new playground design, and construction will start this summer. You can see the design inside this newsletter.
Our soccer partner, Calgary Blizzard Soccer, has opened registration until March 9. If you sign your child up for the Roots U4 to U9 program, you’ll get a free KCA membership for the year. To register, visit https://calgaryblizzard.com/community-partnerships/ and follow the instructions online.
