A Message from the KRA
As the snow melts and the days grow longer, spring is a great time for residents to reconnect with neighbours, tidy up yards, and help keep our community looking its best.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to making Kincora a welcoming and well-maintained neighbourhood.
Account Balance and Arrears Reminder
Residents with accounts that are past due are required to contact Simco Management directly to obtain their current account balance.
Email: [email protected].
To request your updated account ledger, please email Simco.
The KRA will only issue general reminders regarding overdue accounts. Recent changes to Simco administration policy mean past due notifications are handled differently.
There is a $25 Simco administration fee for individual account notifications sent by email or mail. Homeowners will not be charged for requesting their own account ledger directly. Accounts that enter their second year of arrears will incur a $25 late fee to have the owner’s contact information verified. If you are unsure about your account status, please contact Simco as soon as possible.
Maintenance Responsibilities and When to Submit A 3-1-1 Request
Grass Mowing Responsibilities
In residential areas, the grass between the sidewalk and the road is the responsibility of the homeowner whose property it fronts. For areas in front of business or commercial properties, the landlord/property owner is responsible for maintaining that grass.
Keeping these areas-maintained helps improve the appearance and safety of our neighbourhood.
Contacting 3-1-1 remains the most direct and efficient way to bring City attention to issues such as:
· Snow and ice concerns
· Overgrown weeds
· Potholes
· Traffic signal issues
· Infrastructure repairs
When you submit a request, it goes directly to the City department responsible, allowing for faster follow-up and proper tracking. Sometimes a 3-1-1 request may show as “closed.” This does not necessarily mean the issue has been resolved.
In many cases, it simply means:
· The request has been reviewed, and
· It has been transferred to the appropriate department for action.
Spring is a great time to:
· Clean up yards and sidewalks
· Check property maintenance needs
· Connect with neighbours
· Help keep our community beautiful
Thank you for helping make Kincora a great place to live. Wishing everyone a wonderful and sunny April!
