I’m hoping that everyone is staying warm and safe out there in the cold! I would like to congratulate the North Haven Community Association for its dedication to bringing neighbours together, the care they put into their operations, and caring for community members! They’ve had so many successful community initiatives and I’m excited to see what they have planned this year.
Legislative session will be starting back up at the end of this month and my focus will continue to be amplifying your voices and tackling the issues that matter most to you. Whether it’s affordability, tariffs, the state of our healthcare system, the future of the Green Line, or the ongoing debate around your CPP – I was able to speak on many of these issues during Question Period, debates, and with my Caucus team. I’m thankful for everyone who reaches out to the constituency office and proud to share your perspectives in the house.
One of the things I really appreciate during the Legislative session is constituency week each month – the week during session when MLAs stay in their constituencies instead of going into the Legislature. I take that time to schedule more time with constituents directly, either by knocking on your doors and chatting, or meeting! The conversations are meaningful, sometimes sharing the ups and downs of life, politics in Alberta and in our city. I’m honoured to have these conversations and thankful to everyone I’ve chatted with recently in North Haven.
So, let’s continue to have these conversations! I often tell folks that if we don’t have all the answers at our constituency office, we can help find them with you. I hope to catch you on the doors or out in the community! The upcoming constituency week will be from March 3 to 6!
