Spring is Sprouting at the Community Garden
With the days getting longer and spring just around the corner, the Parkdale Community Association (PCA) invites community members to start thinking about getting involved with the Parkdale Community Garden.
The garden features raised beds available for rent by individuals or families, along with shared spaces including perennial beds, fruit trees and bushes, an herb circle, a sandbox, and a tool shed. Throughout the summer, community members and garden bed renters come together at least once a month for garden workdays—an opportunity to tend the space, enjoy the sunshine, get some light exercise, and spend time with friends and neighbours while learning more about gardening.
Between community workdays, everyone interested is welcome to enjoy the garden and help care for it as they’re able. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started, the community garden is a welcoming space to connect, learn, and grow together.
Anyone interested in renting a raised garden bed or getting involved in the garden is encouraged to email [email protected], and to stay tuned for more information about upcoming community garden workdays.
