Board Bytes: Meet Amjad Cheema
I moved to Calgary in March 1995 as a landed immigrant in professional category. I moved to Ranchlands in 1996, since then I live with my family of seven in this beautiful community.
In 1998 I joined as a volunteer in the government sponsored “HOST” program with CCIS. The main objective of this program was to facilitate new immigrant families to integrate in Canadian society.
Currently me and my wife are active members of Foothills Alliance church in Edgemont in their senior’s wellness program and 5th Dimension mountain hiking club.
Canadian society has given so much love, support, and opportunities to grow and thrive. Now as a family we feel that we should help the community as they have helped us.
