As we move through spring and into summer our community is flourishing. With the rather cool weather into May turning warmer, our trees should be fully green to enjoy. We encourage you as you are out and about, to please take and submit pictures – we need them for our Roundup newsletter for all to enjoy. Pictures can be submitted to [email protected].
Jane’s Walk is a worldwide opportunity for people to gather and walk through neighbourhoods – getting to know communities and neighbours. Sunday, May 5 saw a group of us trek three kilometres discussing some of the history of Ranchlands, seeing some of the spectacular views, and enjoying the variety of home styles. Thanks to all who joined.
Neighbour Day is an annual celebration that started to acknowledge neighbours helping neighbours after the 2013 Calgary floods. Mark your calendars! Ranchlands will host a neighbour event on Friday, June 14 after 7:00 pm. We will have games, snacks, and opportunities to meet your neighbours. Watch our Facebook page for more details, search RanchlandsCA to find us. Everyone is welcome.
Promoting Our Community and Our Hall
Our facility is a very versatile space for parties, celebrations, meetings, gatherings, and the list goes on. We encourage you to consider renting our space and promoting it to family and friends as well. Our rental contract is under revision to simplify and automate the booking process. The revenue from our rentals helps us to be able to support programs and ensure the building is well maintained.
Monthly board meetings are open to everyone. You are welcome to come a few minutes early to meet board members and understand the successes and issues of our community. Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month. Doors open at 6:45 pm, meeting begins at 7:00 pm.
