Looking Back On 2025

2025 was a year for Ranchlands as a community and as an association to take pride in.

Our facility rental revenue has stabilized, helping ensure a revenue stream to support our facility and programs.

Our office staff (Anita and Tracy) contribute to the community in many ways.

Our Food Pantry program now has monthly donors to support the hamper program.

Our partnerships with food sources allow us to provide extra support with bread, perishables, pastries, and other supplies.

Our new partnership with the Child Development program provides service to the community.

Our annual Jane’s walk allowed us to showcase the natural beauty of our neighborhood.

Our Neighbor Day Celebration defied the odds and we celebrated.

Our Community Cleanup day was a roaring success.

Our winter craft market attracted over 400 shoppers.

We loved the way community participated in community hunts, car shows, and photo contests.

The rink continues to be a hive of entertainment for skaters and hockey players.

Our collaborations with organizations within Ranchlands are improving and expanding, including our two elementary schools (Ranchlands and St. Rita’s), St. James Church, the Islamic Society of NW Calgary, Rise Calgary, along with support and donations from local businesses.

Our AGM was well attended and supported some improvements to our Bylaws.

Our casino event, supported by many volunteers, contributed $85,000 to our budget.

Looking Ahead to 2026

A key administrative update is that our RCA board meetings will now move to the first Monday of the month (exact dates will be on the website). Meetings will still start at 7:00 pm. All are welcome.

Our plans for this year include some modernization of our website, testing out some new programs for community members in general, ideas for seniors’ programs and functions, and utilizing our sign for communication of events. As grants, funds, and budget permit, we will be pursuing improvements inside and outside the building.

We anticipate that the movement to our community taking pride in keeping our properties in better shape in 2025 will continue into this new year.

Watch for events to come and be with your fellow Ranchlanders.

Regards,

Kathy Ervin
