St. Rita School in Ranchlands – June Update

At St. Rita, being a good community member means showing kindness, practicing empathy, and helping create inclusive, welcoming spaces for everyone. That’s why our teachers worked hard this year to bring learning to life—through nature walks, field trips, Skate Shack, and more—while also helping students build vital social and emotional skills like self-regulation and conflict resolution.

Community outreach was also a big focus for us. Our choir performed at local events and seniors’ residences—including a special visit to the Seniors Group that meets at the Ranchlands Community Association. And when it came time to plan our year-end dance, our students decided to give back by organizing a food drive to support the Ranchlands Food Pantry.

This year proved that you’re never too young to make a difference! At St. Rita, our students showed that being a great community member means lending a hand, sharing a smile, and always looking out for one another—no matter your age.
