St. Rita School is welcoming the warmth of spring with open arms! Students at St. Rita had a very busy lead up to Easter which included a Trickster Theatre residency and an Artist in Residence (Kent Merriman Jr.) for two weeks. We have been so fortunate to be able to offer these Fine Arts opportunities to our students! In May, students participated in two weeks of gymnastics as part of our Physical Education and Wellness program. We also celebrated St. Rita’s Feast Day, as well as the month of Mary.
On Thursday, May 16, we hosted an open house, and welcomed families who were interested in learning more about our school!
Though the end of the school year is in sight, we still have many more learning opportunities on the horizon! We will have a fifth-generation powwow drummer come to perform for us to celebrate Indigenous Heritage Month. We also have an exciting Activity Day planned for the students on June 18! Students are done school for the year on June 26.
We wish everyone in the community a safe and restful summer!
